It is a simply awesome cleanser that really does what it says. When it comes to cleansers, my philosophy is that they should remove dirt, excess oils, and other impurities from the skin efficiently. But that’s it.
Cleansers don’t really have the time or the right pH balance to do anything else, like treat acne or exfoliate.
So, I don’t think that you need to spend tons of money on something that only remains on for face for 30 seconds. That’s one of the reasons why I love this cleanser. It’s inexpensive, but it’s effective.
Packaging and Application
The cleanser is available in both tube packaging and pump dispenser packaging. You only need to use a very small amount of this cleanser, as it does foam up quite a lot! But that just means that the product lasts longer.
Does it do What it Claims?
This cleanser claims to offer a rich lather that will gently, but efficiently cleanse your skin, without leaving it feeling tight or dry. And I would definitely say that this product lives up to those claims.
It contains very gentle cleansing agents, like sodium lauroamphoacetate and sodium laureth sulfate (this is not irritating, unlike the similarly named cleansing agent, sodium lauryl sulfate, which is irritating), which won’t irritate your skin. But they will still efficiently remove makeup and dirt from your skin.
This cleanser also contains glycol stearate, which is an emollient, so it won’t dry out your skin. Finally, the inclusion of aloe vera leaf juice also makes this cleanser particularly soothing on sensitive skin.
Who is this Cleanser Suited To?
This cleanser is suitable for pretty much all skin types. It is very gentle, so even if you have sensitive skin or rosacea, this cleanser would be ideal. The only skin type I would say might not benefit as much from this cleanser is very dry skin. That’s only because foaming cleansers aren’t the best option for this skin type.
Overall, the Olay Foaming Face Wash for Sensitive Skin is such a good cleanser. One of the things I struggle with the most is trying to find a cleanser that won’t dry out or irritate my normal to dry, sensitive, rosacea prone skin.
So, when I tried this cleanser I was very impressed by it. I think that whether you have combination skin or normal to dry skin, you would definitely benefit from using this cleanser.
